So, 10 years later.
That’s 120 months, 3,650 days, 87,600 hours.
I’ve kept myself pretty busy. I moved out, went to college, graduated college, moved back in, got a job, learned to cook, learned to drive, got really into Muay Thai, traveled all over the world, made the most amazing friends, cried a million tears, laughed so hard I cried even more, and tried so hard to figure myself out. A lot happens in 10 years. But some things hold true even after a decade. I’m still a busy girl stressed out with school work and the pressures of society. Happy Creator and I are still best friends. I still try to indulge my crafty side, I still love taking photos and I’m more passionate about healthy eating and wellness than ever.
Sometimes I feel that I’m right back where I was 10 years ago. Younger me had big dreams. I’m not sure if this is exactly what she’d planned, but in the past decade I’ve learned that life is about the beautiful in-betweens. It’s about trying to become friends with the stray cat that wanders your backyard. It’s about picking out the ripest veggies at the grocery store. It’s about eating cheese with your favorite people. It’s about pushing yourself to do the scary things and finding out what’s inside you.
Life all about the journey, not the destination. In another decade, I might end up exactly where I dreamed of being, or I might not. Either way, I hope I look back at all 87,600 hours, all 3,650 days, all 120 months with appreciation for they way they shaped me. I want to spend the next 10 years crafting, cooking, exercising, reading, traveling and, most of all, discovering. I’ll be sharing my crafts, cooking, and photography but mainly I’ll be posting my travels, tips, and itineraries. I’m not aiming to make this perfect, I just want to make this good and have a good time doing it. So I hope you’ll join me on my journey of in-betweens and embrace the opportunity of every moment.
Happy Traderette
