Henna Craze

Posted on November 11, 2014 by Happy Traderette

Hi guys.  I just wanted to tell you that we will be starting henna tutorials.  Henna or mehndi is a paste made from the powder of the henna plant and applied to the body using a cone or thin stick. After drying, it is scraped off.  The paste stains the skin a reddish-brown but the dye fades after about a week and later disappears completely.  This a beautiful part of Indian and Middle Eastern culture and something I want to share with you. I have taken classes for this but I don’t want this to be a secret art. You can get mehndi cones or powder at Indian, Pakistani or Middle Eastern stores.  So lets start designing!

Wow, I can’t wait. I’ve been obsessed with henna since I attended my Indian friend’s wedding. It is so amazing!
